What are the characteristics of a burner?

The Easy STEP series are modern, stepped pellet burners for high-power boilers characterized by effective combustion and high efficiency. Many years of experience in the construction of burners, their servicing and maintenance have allowed us to build a device that is characterized by high reliability even in difficult combustion conditions such as a problem with chimney draft or agro fuels.

Easy STEP burner

High-power pellet burners must be characterized by reliability, durability, and simple and fast construction. This prompted us to implement an innovative pellet burner from Kotłospaw called Easy STEP in our high-power boilers.

A rich power range that includes power 46kW, 58kW, 70kW, 85kW, 100kW, 125kW, 150kW, 200kW, 250kW, 300kW, 400kW, 500kW provides the ability to heat virtually any building and the cascade system ensures comfortable operation of the devices.

STEP – or step, is a fundamental feature of the construction of our burners. The burner grate is based on a step construction, i.e. a step grate with automatic cleaning. This solution is characterized not only by high combustion quality but also by the possibility of burning agro fuels, where effective self-cleaning of the burner is necessary. The grate itself is a special alloy of acid-resistant sheet metal, thanks to which the durability of the furnace is very high, and each of the burner steps is modular and replaceable, thanks to which we reduce the potential cost of service in the event of the need to replace parts from the furnace.

Easy STEP burners are equipped with fireproof ceramics as standard, which extends the burner’s service life by up to 300%. The modular design of the ceramics ensures easy replacement, and after disassembly provides full access to the entire furnace, facilitating service work.

The fuel feed into the burner is secured by a barrier with a counterweight that closes the fuel inlet opening. In the event of uncontrolled fuel ignition in the internal feeder, it cuts off the possibility of fire reaching the feeder pipe.

The air distribution system is based on increased pressure in the burner tee – thanks to this, the probability of melting the spiro pipe drops to practically zero and the fuel ignition itself takes place without the effect of overheating – even in places with too low chimney draft.

Burners with power above 200kW are already equipped with two blower fans – one of them from the primary air and the other from the secondary. Both are modulated independently from the boiler controller, which is crucial in high-power burners and the use of agro fuels, where air must be forced in precisely defined proportions onto the burner furnace. They are also available in the option of installing automatic burner ash removal – a partition under the burner, thanks to which the burner is even more maintenance-free.
